March 10, 1977 - January 30, 2021
The family of Deon Derrick Jackson created this Life Tributes page to view information related to the service or send flowers to the family.
Deon Derrick Jackson was the second born son to the union of Dwight and Claudia Jackson on March 10, 1977. He was baptized at a young age at King David Missionary Baptist Church.
Deon attended Detroit Public Schools and earned his diploma from Milan High School. Deon was known to be the jokester, the one who made everyone laugh. Affectionately known as Rick or Red to his family and friends, through life's challenges, he persevered.
Deon loved to dress; a trait he honestly inherited from both of his parents. He was also a very loveable person so much so that people genuinely gravitated to him. He was not ashamed to share his experiences and made it know that Jesus carried him through all of lifes trials and tribulations.
Deon took pride on caring for his family. Although he had no biological children, Deon "fathered" many, including playing a vital, active role in the lives of his nieces. Even though he was known to be the "fun uncle", they respected his authority and knew when he meant business.
He leaves to cherish his memory and honor his life to his mother, Claudia; father, Dwight, Sr. ; one brother, Dwight, Jr. "DJ" (Kienda); one sister, Carliss; three nephews, Jeremy Henry, Darek and Keenan; two nieces, Derriyan and Taryn, his life partner and love, Amber, special friend, Jamea Willis, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
