Guy Tellis was born in Detroit, MI to Allen Mitchell Tellis and Daisy Mae Tellis.  He was one of 13 children.  His parents, sisters, Carolyn and Annette and brother James all preceded him in death.

Guy attended Southeastern High School.  He later met and married Linda Tellis.  To this union, six children were born, Michelle, Tequeala, Melisha, Lakeda, Ernestine and Guy, Jr.

In his early years, Guy worked for the Renaissance Center in Detroit, MI.  He later became a laborer.  Guy loved to dance and tell jokes and enjoyed being around all his loved ones.  He will truly be missed by those who loved him most.

Guy departed this life on Monday, November 6, 2023.  He leaves to cherish his memory his children; nine brothers and sisters, Sylvester, Lee, Phillip, Jerome, Martha, Angela, Loretha, Susan and Phyllis; thirty-three grand children and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
