Obituary

 

Roy Currelley passed on January 9, 2022 at Sinai Grace Hospital.

 

Roy was preceded in death by his prents, Leroy  and Geneva Currelley and his sisters Deborah Currelley, Daphene Hobbs and Leisha Hobbs.

 

Roy Currelley was born on September 27, 1955 in Tifton, Georgia.  He was the second oldest of five children born and raised in Tifton.  In 1967, at the age of eight, Roy and his family moved to Detroit, Michigan.  

 

Roy attended Central High School.  He loved to watch a good western, loved to play softball and he loved dancing.  Roy also loved his family.

 

Roy is survived by his only son, Davell McCullough (Enife), six grandchildren, Nyree, Nazarah, Davell, Jr, Davion, Dema’j and Nyran McCullough; two sisters,Velinda Currelley and Belinda Currelley; one brother, Vernon Bell (Barbara); nine neices, six nephews and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Roy was well loved.
