Elaine Copeland Hightower, age 81, born on August 6, 1941 in Griffin, Georgia to John T. Copeland and Carrie Mae Copeland.  Elaine passed away Sept 10, 2022 early morning due to many illness.  She was a loving mother and adoring wife.

She attended Northeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan and graduated with honors. She loved to cook. Her family's favorite dish was chicken rice and black eye peas. She loved to listen to music also. She was baptized at an early age and attending New Bethel Baptist church in Detroit, Michigan for many years. She worked at MGM Grand Casino Detroit for many years until she had a knee replacement and wasn't able to go back.

Her mother, Carrie Mae Copeland and her father, John T. Copeland who predeceased her in death also, her brother Harold
Copeland, her sister Denise Copeland and her brother John Copeland predeceased her in death.
 

Elaine is survived by her husband Leroy Hightower His two Kids Sabrina and Lenard Hightower her three children Son Mark Copeland His 3 kids Mark Copeland Jr, Lenard copeland, Marquette Copeland, Daughter Danielle Copeland Her Two Children Walter and Krystal Copeland and her baby girl Lisa Copeland and Her Two kids Curtis and James Copeland Her Brother in Law Abraham Curry and sister in laws Mary Curry and Andrea Copeland Her Nieces Quintina Copeland, Ashley Harrison and Niece Renee Fryerson and Nephews Arthur Harrison, Ricardo, Antoine, David And Darren.  A host of great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews and one special friend Linda Bryant.
