Gail Patricia Marshall was the oldest of Mae Edna Dunston and Marvin Coleman.  She was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania on April 7, 1953.  Her parents, brothers, William Dunston and Markie Coleman and sister, Renie Coleman as well as Derena King, Marvin Coleman Sr. and Marvin Coleman Jr. all preceded her in death.

In 1964, at 11 years of age, Gail, her mother and her younger brother  moved to the eastside of Detroit, Michigan where she attended Detroit Public Schools.  Gail met and married Tim Garr and to this union one son was born, Tim Garr II.  She later furthered her education at Ross Medical School and fulfilled her career at Hutzel Hospital.

She later met and married Darnell Pharm and they relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.  

On April 24, 2023, Gail relocated once more to her heavenly home.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son, Tim Garr II; husband, Darnell; sisters Sandra Leverette (Mike), Khristy Coleman, and Terry Brown; grandchildren, Cortez, Keyonte, Samore, Tamia and T.J. and a host of nieces, nephews, family and loved ones.
