Leon Maurice Laurent Kelley, III was born February 7, 1971 in Detroit, MI.  When Leon was 7, the family moved to Placentia, California .  He remained their for about 10 yrs  and then began moving around the states with his brother until they settled in Detroit, MI.

Leon loved life, the Lord and his whole family.  Leon lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it.  While he never had children of his own, he loved all of his nieces and nephews as if they were his.  He will truly be missed by all those who loved and cherished him.

Leon departed this life on December 16, 2021 leaving to cherish his memory: his parents, Marsha & Melvin Smith and James and Kim Carrecker; six brothers, David Smith, James Kelley (Rondria), Casey Laurent (Shivon), Calab Smith (Kristen), Melvin Hobbs and Marcus Thornton; five sisters, Dominique Laurent, Myesha Hobbs, Monique Hobbs (Malcolm Jeffers), Latrice Nolan, Sharkeisha Hobbs; aunts, Melba Bellamy (Roosevelt) and Thelma Clegg; uncle, Kenneth Carrecker; 28 nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
