Obituary
 

Mr. Kenneth Delanio Jones (Wink Dogg) was born June 14, 1973, in Detroit, Michigan to the parents of the late Robert Jones Jr, and Narver L. Jones. At an early age, under the leadership of the late Reverend Terrell, Kenneth accepted Christ and became a member of Tried Stone Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan.

 

He attended Detroit Public Schools and was a graduate of Henry Ford High School in 1991. After graduating, Kenneth began to purse a Bachelor of Science Degree with a focus in Computer Science at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia. While in college, he was an active member of the Wildcats football team. After leaving undergraduate school, Kenneth decided to show his love for people, style and creativity by enrolling in Michigan Barber School to become a professional licensed barber.

 

Kenneth and Faythe Wilson joined together in Holy Matrimony on September 9, 2000, De’Shawn and De’Maria welcomed Kenneth into their family with open hearts.  

 

After his years of employment at Plastic Pak, Kenneth continued to perfect his craft and love for barbering, He joined the staff at Imperial Cuts where he loved working as a barber. He adored interacting with his customers. He worked closely with his high school friend Reggie McKinney, and his close friend Homer McCloud.

 

Kenneth loved sports. During his younger years, as a member of the Boys and Girls Club in Highland Park, he learned how to compete and soar in billiards, table tennis, dominoes and card games. Even though he was very competitive, he never hesitated to show good sportsmanship and character. Kenneth loved watching football, and other sports with his twin brother Keith. He enjoyed listening to his favorite rap artist E-40 “40 Water.”

 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Robert Jones Jr; his paternal grandparents, Carrie and Robert Jones Sr, and his maternal grandparents, Cecil Clark, and Flora Garrett. His aunts Mary L. Woodard, Lillie M. Jones, Maxine Pettus, Francis Brice, Queen Clark; his uncles Willie J. Jones, James C. Jones, Randy Clark, and Johnny Clark Sr.  

 

On January 9, 2021, Kenneth’s journey on earth was completed and he would join his dad whom he missed dearly. He will be truly missed by those who loved him.

 

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories; mother Narver L. Jones and twin brother Keith D. Jones, wife Faythe Wilson, step children De’Shawn  Wilson and De’Maria Nix (Detroit, Michigan),step grandmother Mattie Pearl Jones(Macon, Georgia),step-mother Carolyn \Jones (Canton, Michigan); nephew Joseph Martin (Southfield, Michigan); aunts: Cleonia Bentley (Jacksonville, Florida;) Mary J. Jones (Atlanta, Georgia); Catherine Clark (Bellville, Michigan) and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
